BeatleJazz takes "Another Bite of the Apple" (11/18/01)
BeatleJazz has followed up their "A Bite of the Apple" release from last year with a sequel, not suprisingly titled "Another Bite of the Apple." The group -- Brian Melvin on percussion, Dave Kikoski on piano and Charles Fambrough on bass -- interprets the 11 Beatle (and solo Beatle) songs -- "I'll Follow the Sun," "Here, There and Everywhere," "Let It Be," "Give Me Love," "Michelle," "Blackbird," "Julia," "Blue Jay Way," "Magical Mystery Tour," "It Won't Be Long," and "Tomorrow Never Knows" -- in traditional jazz style. The sound is gentle, relaxing and very very enjoyable.
