"Pickin' on the Beatles" released as double set (1/29/01) Both volumes of "Pickin' on the Beatles" have been released in a single two-disk set. The set features acoustic and bluegrass covers of Beatle songs, including "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Hey Jude," "She Loves You," and "A Hard Day's Night." The arrangements feature violins, dobros and banjos. No, it doesn't all sound like "Beverly Hillbillies" meets the Beatles; the acoustic arrangements are especially enjoyable. This is one of those albums that grows on you. If you like acoustic music, give this a try.
