It is thirty years since the release of the world's most famous LP and in commemoration we offer a new book of rare photographs taken during the Sgt. Pepper period. "Recording Sgt. Pepper's" features unseen images of The Beatles filming the Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields promo videos, photos of the group recording 'With A Little Help From My Friends' and 'A Day In The Life', rare shots from the press party held at Brian Epstein's house in Mayfair and candid photos of the Beatles arriving for Abbey Road recording sessions in early 1967.  The  text is by Q magazine's Johny Black, also included, as an appendix, are three rare in-depth interviews with The Beatles from 1967.  The book, with 4-page b/w cover, contains 13 colour and 24 b/w photos and is printed in full-colour throughout.   224mm x 153mm. A special feature of this new Tracks publication are the four black and white, 6" x 8" (15cm x 20cm) photos taken during the 'Day In The Life' recording session which are given free with each copy of the book. The book comes with a numbered bookmarker featuring an image of Paul McCartney conducting the 'Day In The Life' orchestra and is signed on the reverse by the three surviving members of The Fool: Marijke Koger, Simon Posthuma and Barry Finch. A numbered limited edition issue comprising a photobook and inserts.  The carefully selected photos cover the entire sequence of the day's events of the 14th October: Paul's arrival at the Royal Albert Hall in the morning, the photocall during rehearsals and photos of the ex-Beatle on stage receiving a triumphant standing ovation at the end of the concert.  The book also includes photos of Paul, Linda and Ringo and Barbara at Stella McCartney's fashion show in Paris the following day and coverage of  the signing session at HMV, Oxford Street, London on the 16th October 1997.  In addition there are shots from the events leading up to the Standing Stone première including photos from the momentous Music For Montserrat concert and snaps of Paul outside Abbey Road and the Albert Hall during Standing Stone rehearsals.  The text covers all of these occasions in detail with extensive on-the-spot reportage both from the Albert Hall including a complete transcript of the lunch-time press conference. Accompanying the book are 2 photographic prints of Paul taken at the Albert Hall photocall. Each has been taken from the original negative and measures 15cm x 20cm (6" x 8").  Also included is a replica of the day's itinerary issued only to representatives of the media.  The 40-page full-colour book contains 38 shots and measures 21cm x 29.5cm.
