Beatle site walking tour tapes: (3/21/98)  A new cassette has been released featuring a self-guided tour of the Beatles' London. The tape is written and narrated by Richard Porter, president of the London Beatles Fanclub and guide for the Beatles' London walking tours. The tape includes Abbey Road Studios and the famous crossing; the Apple building in Savile Row, and many sites used in "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!." Also included are more obscure sights and directions to the places featured to enable listeners to find the places for themselves. Richard Porter has been guiding Beatles tours for the last nine years. The tape is produced by Detective Records, who have specialize in spoken word tapes on the Beatles featuring Alistair Taylor, who worked for The Beatles for seven years; John Junkin, who appeared in "A Hard Day's Night," and Sid Bernstein, who promoted the Beatles' Shea Stadium concert. The release of the tape co-incides with the release of a Rock and Pop Map of Britain by The British Tourist Authority.
